SPiCE Sri Lanka Hits Colombo

The first ever SPiCE Sri Lanka event exploded onto Colombo, Sri Lanka, this week, 26 – 28 July, at the Ramada By Wyndham. After the success of SPiCE India, event organisers decided to expand their event schedule into Sri Lanka, slotting in before SPiCE Philippines and SPiCE Bangladesh, both of which are due later this year.

The three-day event was perfect for those wishing to learn more about gambling, iGaming, sports betting, and tourism in South Asia. There were many exhibits, networking events, the SPiCE Sri Lanka 2023 Eventus Awards, and notable speakers to enjoy. We look forward to many more.

Gaming Legend, Len Ainsworth, Celebrates His Centenary Year

Len Ainsworth, founder of Ainsworth Game Technology (AGT), celebrated his 100th birthday recently, marking a momentous event for the historic gaming company. Len was born on 11 July 1923 in Kempsey, a small New South Wales town in Australia.

Initially working in the manufacturing of dental equipment, he formed Aristocrat Leisure Industries in 1953, which went on to become AGT. Len’s work in the gaming industry revolutionised land-based slot machines and established him as a true gaming pioneer. He also set up the Ainsworth Foundation, which raises funds and supports medical research, healthcare, and education in Australia. Speaking to Yogonet, Danny Gladstone, Chairman of Ainsworth Game Technology, said, "His mentoring and guidance have shaped the careers of numerous industry professionals who continue to carry his vision forward."

SBC Announces Rio Summit for 2024

SBC has added another string to its bow with the announcement of SBS Summit Rio. Set to take place 5 – 7 March 2024; the inaugural event is due to be held at the Windsor Barra Hotel in the beautiful Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

SBC already holds several global iGaming and gambling events worldwide, including SBC Summit Barcelona, Vegas BABY, SBC Summit Tbilisi, SBC Summit Latino America, SBC Awards Latino America, Malta BABY, and SBC Summit North America

SBC decided to launch the new event at a crucial time in Brazil’s international appeal in the iGaming world, timing perfectly with the blossoming growth of sports betting in the Latam Market. SiGMA Balkans & CIS Tickets Released

The sun is just setting on SiGMA Asia, and we are already looking ahead to Cyprus in September for SiGMA Balkans & CIS. The exciting event will take place on 4 – 7 September in the beautiful coastal Cypriot city of Limassol.

The thrilling event will feature VIP dinners, parties, galas, awards, an auction, exhibits, speakers, and those all-important networking opportunities. Notable industry experts from all sectors of the industry will be present. Tribal Gaming Mid-Year Event

Another September event on the cards that has just released tickets is the Tribal Gaming extravaganza, the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention Mid-Year Conference & Expo. Followers of tribal gaming will be looking forward to the exciting event happening on 12– 14 September in Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mashantucket, Connecticut

The Foxwoods Resort Casino belongs to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation,  one of around 240 Native American tribes that run gambling operations in the USA.  The Indian Gaming Association is a non-profit group of sovereign tribal nations that lead the tribal community. 

The mid-year event is a hub for leaders in the tribal gaming industry that spans the USA and offers a chance to network in plush surroundings while also taking in the various exhibits and listening to speakers.
